Starting in 2024, it’s estimated that over 100,000 new cancer cases will be diagnosed in Ontario every year due to our growing and aging population. By 2030 that number is expected to climb to an estimated 115,300 cases.

New Treatment Technologies for Coordinated Care
Last year the Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at THP became the first hospital in Eastern Canada to treat patients using HyperArc for multiple brain tumours in a single session. Staff are now using the QA Phantom, a specialized device that mimics the patient’s head to automate advance testing of complex treatment plans on the HyperArc, dramatically speeding up patient therapy and therefore improving access.

The Mississauga Fire Fighters Association’s (MFFA) Benevolent Fund is a non-profit division of the Mississauga Fire Fighters International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1212 union that raises funds to be distributed throughout our community.
